Child sexual abuse is one of the most destructive acts ever in today's world . This is happening in almost every community . Almost everyone has a story of child sexual abuse to tell. Almost everyone has been affected by this insidious act . I salute the bravery of a few people who are now coming out to condemn and fight the upsurge .

Child sexual abuse is stoppable .Let us speak out loudly against it .Enough of this mess .We are not going to fold our arms and watch the monster stop our children . Our communities need to rise up and keep our children safe. The effect of sexual abuse on children is the reason we should wake up and fight .

Incidences of child sexual abuse are increasing by the day . The issue is widely discussed but little action has been taken till date . Conducted studies from all over the world confirmed that child sexual abuse is widespread and still spreading .This is worrisome .The result from studies carried out in 22 countries shows that 7.9% of men and 19.7% of women had suffered from child sexual abuse before the age of 18 . This tells us that child sexual abuse is a serious problem in many countries of the world . It impacts children's health in various ways , causes depression ,anxiety ,post traumatic stress disorder and physical injury to mention a few . Most abusers are familiar to their victims . 30% are relatives , 60 % friends and family , caretakers and neighbors , strangers are just 10% . .Denying there is child sexual abuse is denying the future of our children .Disclosure of child sexual abuse agreed is a very delicate and sensitive matter .This is because it is determined by feelings of responsibility for blame , feelings of shame , fear and embarrassment . Fear of negative consequences of telling too . The act changes the life of the victim completely overwhelmed with feelings of betrayal , powerlessness and stigmatization . It changes the abused child's perception of the world and this can lead to trauma suicide in some instances .
